CD release of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
“The upcoming months may see the CD release of the original The Ghost and Mrs. Muir soundtrack, virtually complete (label to be determined). It sounds quite extraordinary, given the recordings age; the separate microphone stems have been combined, to create a pseudo-stereo sound far superior to what you might expect (it sounds comparable to the The Day the Earth Stood Still compact disc). The urgency and the emotion of the recording really come through.
There are also plans, as yet not solid, to release a virtually complete CD of Journey to the Center of the Earth (which sounds breathtaking in its original stereo), and a suite from A Hatful of Rain (original tracks).”
