The restored VERTIGO : on LaserDisc, and coming to Europe
The LaserDisc of the restored VERTIGO will be released in the US in late March or early April. The disc will have a second audio track with running commentary by restorers Robert Harris and James Katz, VERTIGO producer Herbert Coleman, and Steven C. Smith (author of the Herrmann biography). There will also be many other extras, including a couple of stills of Herrmann.
Finally the restored version of VERTIGO premiered in Europe at the Berlin Film Festival in February. There will be a London premiere in the near future, before openings in other European cities during the spring.
